DreamHouse ʻEwa Beach marks significant milestone as it provides innovative education in West Oʻahu
Kapolei, HI — DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach, the state’s fastest-growing public charter school, will celebrate the grand opening of its newly constructed, permanent high school campus on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to noon. The campus, called DreamHouse Center, is expected to serve an estimated 400 students in grades 9-12 in Fall 2025.
“We are thrilled to open the doors to our new home to students and families,” said Dr. Ryan Mandado, CEO of DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach. “After years of operating our high school from multiple temporary sites across West Oʻahu, we will finally have a dedicated space to call home.”
The new facility offers a state-of-the-art open-learning experience that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, allowing students to explore their passions and develop essential 21st-century skills. Permitting and construction of DreamHouse Center started in 2022.
In addition to innovative learning approaches, the school’s leadership, empowerment, agency, and development (LEAD) courses give students the opportunity to be stronger partners with the community by connecting them directly with organizations and groups. By empowering students to take ownership of their education and contribute to the community, DreamHouse aims to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
“These resources, combined with our dedicated faculty and staff, provide students with unparalleled opportunities to learn and grow to become Hawaiʻi’s future leaders,” said Mandado. “We believe that education is not just about academics; it’s about encouraging students to become community contributors for life.”
The public will have an opportunity to tour the new facility, meet educators, and learn about DreamHouse’s innovative teaching methods at the grand opening celebration. DreamHouse Center is located at 970 Manawai Street in Kapolei.
